As the Year of the Dragon approaches in February, the number of limited edition luxury replica Watches continues to increase. Chinese New Year celebrations always have an air of solemnity, but the dragon's significance is even greater. Not only because of its Chinese symbolism, but also because of its mythical status and iconic design. For Ulysse Nardin, any excuse for luxurious design is grabbed with both hands. The Ulysse Nardin Blast Tourbillon Dragon blends a futuristic vision with the traditional image of a dragon protecting its hoard of trophies – pearls.

Starting with the architecture of the Blast Tourbillon, one of Ulysse Nardin's lesser-known models. While not as wild as Freaks , it's definitely packed with genre-defying and intricate details. The 45mm case is unabashedly rough on the wrist, although the chopped lugs do improve its comfort considerably. The angles of the case facets are somewhat unpredictable and inorganic, and the contrast between the 18k 5N gold and black DLC-coated titanium sections is reminiscent of the high-tech components of the Iron Man suit. The most recognizable part of this watch is the X structure of the dial, which has become one of Ulysse Nardin's modern business cards.

Twelve years ago during the last Year of the Dragon, Ulysse Nardin high quality watches replica released another celebratory watch. That version was presented with a two-dimensional enamel dial, and this year's version adds depth to the equation. Not only has the enamel painting transformed into a red gold sculpture, but the shape of the dragon now twists and twists between the pillars of the openworked dial. The depth of color is truly incredible and the intricate textures from scales to nails are mesmerizing. Of course, the pearl occupies the most important position in the center of the tourbillon cage. Echoing the flying tourbillon at 6 o'clock is a platinum micro-rotor at 12 o'clock, allowing the Blast Tourbillon Dragon's 72-hour power reserve to remain ample throughout the day. It beats at a fairly low frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour, but that's to be expected from many tourbillon watches. The movement visible through the sapphire caseback consists mainly of a black coating and golden bridges, once again highlighting the X structure.
